Cupcakes for Breakfast

I start my morning with a hot cup of coffee, flavored with finest artificial amaretto creamer, and a cupcake, orange with buttercream frosting, the last of a batch I made from scratch last Sunday. I sit by the window pecking on the keys, and look out into the fog that covers the city. Watching as a train leaves Pyeongtaek Station heading South, I wonder where it might be headed, Busan.. or maybe Cheonan. I look again at delicious substance that fills my mug and think to myself, the same question that nags so many of us, how did I get here? And, what am I going to do now?
Burdened by the nagging feeling that I am supposed to do something great or at least substantial in life, but having no idea what that means, I stare at the screne and think about what kind of cupcake I will bake next. Baking, my new found preoccupation has served as the creative outlet I crave. I didn't have time for things like this back in the states, but now that I am here, in South Korea, and currently job free, I have plenty of that magical thing called time. So, I fill it, with cupcakes.
